Master Sergeant Alan L. Cotton entered the United States Army in May 1989 attended Basic Training at Ft Bliss Texas and Advanced Individual Training for MOS 91B (Combat Medic) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. And retired from active with 22 years of Service to our Nation. He has 4 combat tours total, 2 with the 1st Infantry Division Light and 2 tours with the 101st Airborne Division (MIT Team 9626). The highlights of his career was being a Senior Drill Sergeant, teaching at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (License Practical Nurse School) and Fort Sam Houston (Emergency Medical Technician School).
His military education includes the United States Army Drill Sergeant School, AMEDD Advanced NCO Course, AMEDD Basic NCO Course, and PLDC. He has also completed the TRADOC IET Pre Command Course, Faculty Development Course, Flight Medical Aviation School of Medicine, Trauma-Aims, ATLS, BTLS, TC3, ACLS, BCLS, LPN Course 68WM6, Emergency Medical Technician (I.D.P.), Combatives Level 1 Trainer.
