DirtWise/Maxxis/KLIM Race team rider Jason Thomas continued his run to the 2015 GNCC XC2 Pro Championship, with a solid 4th place finish at Round 7 of the GNCC series, held over the weekend in West Virginia.

Thomas impressed all by easily running up front for the majority of the race before the rear mousse tube failed, resulting in the rear tyre popping off the rim. Luckily this happened close to the pit area which allowed Thomas to limp back to the pit for an unscheduled wheel change and then to rejoin the race. “What a great race it was today! These nasty conditions really suited me as it’s exactly the type of riding I did when I was growing up. But the day didn’t go entirely smoothly for mhawkish the mousse issue – that’s the second tim ethics year it has happened. But we were able to salvage the situation quite well and still finish. I’m disappointed because the victory was mine to take, but to endure this major issue and to still leave the track with an increased points lead in the Championship is a big bonus.

Thomas now has a healthy 40 point lead in the Championship standings.
