Newton, NC (Thur, Feb, 20) – The 2014 GNCC XC2 Pro class just got a lot stronger with the addition of Wisconsin native, Mat Herrington to the DirtWise “Ready to Race” program for all of the 2014 GNCC events.

In a bold move which displays an intense desire to give himself the strong additional backing of the powerhouse Maxxis/KLIM/DirtWise KTM Race team, which in turn will allow him to more easily progress to the front of the pack, and up onto the podium, Herrington stated, “By having to travel all the way from Wisconsin to each race, and the drain this has on my time and available race funds, it pretty much was a no brainer to jump on board with the DirtWise “Ready to Race” program. Now I have way more time to focus on my training, I don’t have to worry about any bike prep and getting it there, so I now can just arrive at the track ready to race my fully prepped DirtWise KTM 250 and go for victory.”

“In 2013 in rode the whole GNCC series just to get an understanding of what it was about. I learnt what I needed to do to best improve myself for 2014, and having the resources of the DirtWise “Ready to Race” at my disposal is a must. I’m so eager to get the season started and to closely work with Jason Thomas and Shane Watts so as I can become a podium contender at each race!”
